Mike Crawley is a Fine Art, Classical and Erotic Nude photographer living in the county of Hertfordshire, UK, and is
a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. Mikes' interest in the photography
of women started when he attended some local photography evening classes in 1988. The portrait classes were a revelation and
this has evolved, over the last fifteen years, into a passion for photographing beautiful women.
He has been involved with exhibiting his work in the UK and Europe and also has several virtual exhibitions on the
Internet. He has competed in many of the local, National and International Salons
and Exhibitions and has regularly had work exhibited in the Austrian Supercircuit, winning FIAP medals in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Mike has had three
personal photographic exhibitions in Watford, St Albans and the Royal Photographic Society in Bath and has also exhibited
at Erotica (Manchester), The Plus Show (Brighton) and Skin Two Expo (Barbican Centre) with the Guild of Erotic Artists in
the highly acclaimed “Art Gallery”.
Mike also sells images as traditional silver halide prints and digital ink-jet prints through his own website www.photofrenetic.com and Obsession Art and has images in several traditional picture libraries and agencies
such as the Akehurst Bureau and the online picture library Alamy.com. He's also had many images and articles published in various magazines
including Practical Photography, Amateur Photographer, Photo Answers, What Digital Camera and PIC and in 1992 was awarded
the title of PIC Glamour Photographer of the Year 1992 by the now extinct photography magazine People in Camera.
The Mammoth
Book of Erotic Photography, published in 2001 by Robinson of London contains a selection of Mike’s shadow and pattern
images and he has written and illustrated a book, commissioned by David & Charles Limited, called Photographing the Nude
which contains over 200 of his photographs and was published in October 2002. Three images have been included in The Special
Reserve Collection, published by Great Northern Publishing in December 2003 and a co-operative project with fetish model,
Rosaleen Young, led to the publication of a book of erotic stories, poems and images called Fantasies of a Young Submissive
in September 2003. Mike’s work is also showcased in the The Guild of Erotic Artists Book (Volume 1, 2005) and in Volume
2, 2008).
Mike’s current interest is in Fine Art Nude, Creative, Fetish and Erotic
imagery with a special interest in shadows and patterns and form and figure. Commissions
